1. Who we are

ThriftKit is an iOS application for scanning thrift finds, checking resale comps, and listing items. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the ThriftKit app and this website.

Questions? Email hello@thriftkit.app.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Photos you scan

When you scan an item, your photo is sent to our secure backend to identify the product and fetch eBay sold comps. Images are processed for identification only and are not used to train AI models. We do not permanently store your photos on our servers after processing.

2.2 Scan history

Scan results (product name, price estimates, verdict) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. This data does not leave your device unless you choose to list an item.

2.3 eBay account

If you connect your eBay account to list items, we store OAuth tokens securely on your device and use them to create listings via eBay's API. We do not access your eBay password or payment information.

2.4 Subscriptions

ThriftKit Pro subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may receive an anonymized device identifier and purchase receipt data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

3. Third-party services

  • Apple App Store — billing and distribution
  • RevenueCat — subscription management
  • eBay — sold comps and listing (when you connect your account)
  • Vercel / AI Gateway — secure backend processing for product identification

4. Children's privacy

ThriftKit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
